When you use that idiom (the same form for male and female) you are complaining from being ignored or being always left behind. Yes, when you are the last monkey, you are kind of the weakest link, goodbye!

WHAT EXACTLY IS THIS BLOG?

It is just a very silly and funny approach to learn Spanish sayings and traditions by translating typical sentences in a literal way! The expression in English is NOT right, but it will help the audience to remember the saying in Spanish as it keeps the "funny" message from the Spanish language, just like silly the bean or "tonto el haba" (a very stupid person) .This is a very stupid blog, but for people with good sense of humour ready to learn cool expressions ;) Follow me and you won't go from lost to the river "De perdidos al río" (From bad to worse)

¿DE QUÉ ES ESTE BLOG?

Es simplemente un enfoque muy tonto y divertido para aprender dichos y costumbres españolas que consiste en traducir frases típicas literalmente! La expresión en Inglés NO es correcta, pero ayudará a la gente a recordar el dicho en español ya que mantiene el mensaje "divertido" presente en la lengua Española, igual que pasa con silly the bean o "tonto el haba". Éste es un blog muy tonto, pero para gente con buen sentido del humor;) Acompañadme y no ireis from lost to the river "De perdidos al río".
