I started my teaching career in Newcastle back in 2000, where I lived for 3 years. Once I returned home, I taught in a public school and got ready to sit the "oposiciones" exam, which I passed!!! "Tomar el pelo a alguien" = To take somebody's hair
wind somebody up, take the piss, pull someones's leg
You can also use "quedarse con alguien".
No le hagas caso. Te está tomando el pelo / Se está quedando contigo.
¿Me estás tomando el pelo/ Te estás quedando conmigo? ¡Si acabas de decir lo contrario!
Nos está tomando el pelo / Se está quedando con nostros. ¿No veis cómo se rie?
