Although "máquina" is a very popular expression with the same meaning, the English word "crack" is getting more and more popular in Spanish too.
"Mi hermano es un hacha /crack en Matemáticas"
"Soy un hacha/ crack jugando al tenis. No hay quien me gane"
"Qué crack / máquina. Lo hace todo bien"
