Dejar solo ante el peligro --> to leave somebody hung out to dry
Dejar en la estacada --> to leave somebody in the lurch
Dejar plantado en el altar --> stand somebody up on the wedding day
Después de esperar media hora estaba claro que me había dejado plantado/a.
